Effective 1 January 2019, the electronic Air Waybill (e-AWB) will become the default contract of carriage for all air cargo shipments on enabled trade lanes. Digital processes will be the norm and paper processes an exception from then on.
In 2010 IATA introduced e-AWB project. Objective was to initiate digitalization of air cargo supply chain. This e-AWB initiative has been a key to the digitalization and transformation of our industry. Data availability and quality is critical to deliver innovative solutions and enhance customer experience. The interest in group in using e-AWB is growing and showing that the market is ready to embrace the full digitalization of the air cargo industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
