VAT changes in Germany

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the federal German Government has decided that with effect from the 1st of July 2020, the VAT rate in Germany will be reduced from 19% to 16% on general goods and services and the reduced rate from 7% to 5%.

This is an interim solution to support the German economy and is valid until the 31st of December 2020.
